What is the staff/student ratio?-
Is there a school bus service?-
There are school buses that service the Central and Northern parts of the island, such as St. Julians, Sliema, Naxxar, St. Paul's Bay and Swieqi. For further details or to make arrangements for the bus service, please contact the Business Manager in the main office.
Do the students need to bring their own lunch?-
In Elementary and Middle School, many students choose to bring their own snacks and lunch to school. It is possible to order lunch from the tuck shop on a daily basis. For High School students, they too can bring a lunch or order lunch, and the tuck shop is open at morning break time for the students to purchase snacks.
Is there a school uniform?-
At Verdala International School, we do not have school uniforms, however there are basic standards of dress that the students are expected to observe. More information is provided in the student handbooks, which are distributed to students when they start school.
What extra-curricular activities are available?-
Some examples of past after school clubs are: football, photography, art, music, fencing, chess and Maltese. The activities offered vary from year to year.
Are parents actively involved in the school?-
All parents are invited to join the Booster Club. This is a group of parents who organize exciting fund-raising events for the school. As well, many parents volunteer their time to the school by helping in the libraries, reading with students and attending school trips.
The Elementary School features the International Primary Curriculum. Is this well recognized?-

Does the school encourage field trips?-
At Verdala International School, we believe that field trips are a valued extension of classroom learning. Trips are planned to enrich the curriculum and centre on the topics being studied. Excursions are well organized with appropriate supervision and plenty of notice being given to the parents before the scheduled trips.
