After School Activity Programme 

At VIS, the After School Activities Programme provide a wide range of activities and opportunities for our students.

Activities are offered both by our teaching staff and by external providers who always try to broaden the activities available to offer exciting new choices, such as: Model United Nations, Robotics, Junior Achievement Young Enterprise, Languages, Sports and Wellbeing, and Mini Mystery Science.

Registration

Registration and Online Payment is now available and accessible through our SchoolsBuddy online platform. Places are available on a first come first served basis. The new on-line registration and management system allows you to register, pay, and view your student's timetable.

PLEASE NOTE: MANUAL PAYMENTS, WITH CASH OR CHEQUES, WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS PROGRAMME.

ASP Guidelines:

1. Please read the terms and conditions (below) of the ASA Programme when applying for and making payment for any activity.

2. All activities will be subject to a minimum number of participants enrolling, in order for the activity to run, usually 3 students. Maximum number of students depends on the activity.

3. Please note: ALL dates for these activities are shown on registration. Parents will be informed of the addition of new activities, not published, via communication through SchoolsBuddy. Activities run from 3:30pm - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday) and 2:15pm - 3:15pm (Friday), unless otherwise stated.

4. Payments for ASA’s must be made in full, in advance, of the programme. 

5. Unfortunately school transport is not available after ASA sessions/classes are finished. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that his/her child is picked up at the prescribed time. School staff and external providers are NOT responsible for the care of students after the close of an activity. Please endeavour to be at school at least 10 minutes before the end of  a the student's selected activity. The routine for pick up after an activity remains the same as the daily home-time pick up routine at present. In the event of extenuating circumstances, please call the school office/provider directly, to inform of any unexpected delayed pick up.

6. If your child is unable to attend an after school activity session, please inform the ASA Coordinator by e-mail by not later than the morning of the scheduled activity. This avoids any unnecessary waiting time or confusion. Attendance is taken for all students enrolled in an ASA.

7. Where possible, sessions that are missed due to school functions etc. may be rescheduled but this is not guaranteed.

8. In the event that a child is withdrawn from an activity midterm, payments will not be refunded.

9. Ask the ASA Coordinator for information regarding off-campus packages. Please be advised that these activities are being provided by private contractors who bear full responsibility and liability for those programmes.

Requirements

Online Registration and Payments are accessed via the Internet. You are solely responsible for the equipment, software, and communication services to access the Internet.

Privacy

No credit/debit card details will be stored in our systems. Any personal information that is submitted with a payment transaction is dealt with strict confidentiality. Such information will be used solely to process the transaction.

After School Programmes: All the information submitted in the online application (see list below) will be available to the ASA Coordinator and the respective ASA teachers. External providers will only have access to student names and health conditions.

Such information can only be used by the respective provider for the duration of the activity, ONLY in relation to the said activity, and will be destroyed once the subscription is terminated.

Consent

By submitting a successful application for an After School Activity, you are giving consent for the named student listed in the "Student Full Name" field, to participate in the selected activity and are acknowledging that ALL information provided is lawful, transparent, and accurate.

Refunds

All transactions processed on the online payment system are non-refundable unless: 

a) an After School Programme has been cancelled.
