Welcome from Principal

When families first tour the VIS Elementary campus and see the students actively engaged in safe and caring classrooms, they often comment on the positive atmosphere they encounter.  With only two classes in each Grade level, and a maximum class size of 20, we are able to maintain a family feeling for our children between the ages of 3 to 11.

These small classes not only allow children personalised learning, but also puts them at the center of our programmes to make them feel supported and appropriately challenged.

We follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which is used by over 1,800 schools in more than 90 different countries around the world.  The IPC is a comprehensive, thematic curriculum which recognises that children learn best when they want to learn.  The IPC Early Years programme, and the later Milepost 1-3 programmes, all acknowledge student interests and readiness.  Guided inquiry and differentiated instruction are at the heart of the IPC, helping children to reach their full potential as they grow to be independent critical thinkers.

Our international teaching team looks forward to working with you and your children as we strive to maintain high stands in teaching and learning, and to establish positive relationships which will help every child grow both academically and socially.  We invite you to join one of our many celebrations of learning, held frequently throughout the school year.

I hope you find our website informative and helpful, providing you with a glimpse of the quality programmes we offer our youngest learners here at VIS. If you would like to learn more, please contact us with your questions or to arrange an appointment.

Best regards,
Wendy Mistruzzi
